Yadira Tovar is a Mexican-American interdisciplinary artist born and raised in California.  As a natural-born creative, her earliest memories are of her creating through coloring and drawing. Aside from obtaining an Associate's Degree in Studio Arts at Modesto Junior College, she is mostly self-taught.  Tovar embraces her rich Mexican Heritage and it shows through her color palette. She uses bold, ethereal subject matters which exude strong, untouchable feminine energy. Yadira feels that there is already enough ugly in the world, therefore she only wants to create beautiful things. She likes to challenge and redefine what traditional art is and reminds her audience that by simply taking a closer look, one can see things with new eyes. Her art represents her, she likes to let it speak for itself leave interpretation open for the viewer.
